Beat Slower, Weary Heart

By Cwm

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Beat slower, weary heart, for whenever you beat faster, more pain, and strife, travels to us all. Slow down, old time-ticker, why get excited over, gloomy, dreadful days? Disasters, strikes again, as a ship, sinks lower, and lower, into the body of large bay. An airplane, gets shot down, by another terrorist attack. A wish flys over my head, falling to diaster, and getting no where, but to the bottom, of a bottomless pit. Can you see, the tears roll, down my nose? Can see my heart sinking farther below? Can see feel my ravaged body, wobble in pain? Can you hear the grief, in my voice? Can you see the sadness in my eyes? Do you know, about the regrets, and all of the sickening remorse? Today, beat slower, old weary heart, for your task, is all but done. Over-comed by desolation, it's time for you to take a vacation. ~CWMUm, decided to keep writing but as you can see, there is something, I must get off my chest.
