Captive Under The Sun

By Cwm

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Stay asleep, for you know, the sun brings depression. Stay asleep, for you know, the sun brings opression. Captive, prisoner, the sun my slave master, as darkness brings end, the sun lets opresion begin. Shackled, chain to chain, never being free, never again. Juries verdict is set, freedom, rights are neglected. Show your penance, beg for mercy, apologize, for those acts, still theres no parole for me. Captive under the sun, prisoner of mine, of wasted time, from my own thought-less crime. Not sure if this is forced or not. Written February 19th, 2002 © on Feb 19 2002 09:32 AM PST   0 • 1
