Mad At The World

By Cwm

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

* Located in a nearby town in North Carolina a psychologist interviews a supposed disturbed, young thirteen year old, but what he finds, is an intelligent young man  who is mad the world!* "Why are you mad at the world son?" The psychologist said as the boy sat with a gun. The boy rose from his chair and spoke. "It's because of the look in everyone's eyes, telling so many lies, I see a devil in disguise Religious wars, so much mayhem, and gore, promise's unkempt, vows broken, more and more. My parents always fight, they do this right in my sight! Some children are never fed, some have never slept on a bed, some have never had toys, some have a life without joy. There's so much pollution in the air, there's not a single soul , taking a dare, I beg and plead  but does anyone care? And why do we live in pain, and why do efforts seem so lame? Why does the moon shine at night, and does it never give this doomed world some light? Why whenever it rains, more individuals go insane? And... whenever I pray  before I sleep, I don't ask for my soul to keep, because I know life  has the same old gloomy repeats!" At this point the psychologist is in total awe, as he just stares "Now, I hope I answered your question," the boy asked sincerely. *The man just continued to stare  and thought to himself, "those are reasons to be mad at the world." ~CWMThis boy has some view-point of the world, goodness! ~CWM Written April 5th, 2002 © on Apr 05 2002 08:12 AM PST   life
