Soldier Story

By Cwm

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Sent to a land, far away from home, trapped as crusaders, held captive inside an unclosed dome. Bullets fly, families cry, many will die, only a few will survive. Those alive, may have to lie, about their story, to add, less gore, and more glory! Smoke, and acid rain, burn this hopeless skin, being torn from limb to limb. All along they can't mend, why their fighting, maybe because of hate-ful,un-just sin? Then, where will resolve begin? Trapped in their misery, fighting for worth-less glory, but they're journey has not been boring, for we remember them, for an eternity. ~CWMMore Society poems, just getting something off my chest.
