Too Late, Too Late

By Cwm

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Ah, you wanted to apologize, you wanted to shed your sorrow. I had an open ear, and ear you disowned, I wanted to believe with all sincerity, I tried but it was to late. All of the insults, all of the abuse, all of the times of me, being used, has made me careless, and stone cold! The love I once felt, is dead, it's dead, along with the other, phony love. I heard "I love you" after you curse me again! "Whatever" was my only response. I saw you make every effort, gifts, money, cards, you begged you pleaded, but it was to late, to late. I've moving on, I'm moving on, without you fooling me, and troubling me forever. So, stop begging! Get off you knees! And go home, home without me, looking into eyes of a liar!To little to late, i'm  moving on. Written March 1st, 2002 © on Mar 01 2002 08:40 AM PST   0 • 18 • 1
