Waiting For Your Return

By Cwm

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Lost you, through the grips, of my hands destroyed our fate, and our plans. Oh! My dreams, memories all burn, while I still linger, for your return. Lost you, when you left that night, didn't see you, as I turned on the light, lonely, trapped in my room, suffering with plight! Lonely nigths, cast down, very stern, while I linger for your return. Preoccupied without you, forced to prepare, for the reflection, I see from a hapless glare, remembering, the love, the palatable stare. One thought as I sit, one concern, while I still linger for your return. There is capability, maybe an illusion of my reality that maybe one day, you'll return to me.... and explain why you had to flee. For darling, I'll hurt, suffer till I learn, while I still linger for your return.Kinda sad, hopefully, and romantic, the biggest problem was trying to match rhyme with the word return and the thrid line in each stanza.. Fun write though... ~CWM Written March 25th, 2002 © on Mar 25 2002 07:51 AM PST   0 • 1 • 12
