A Day of Darkness
By danih
I found myself frightened on that day. He came right in and shot away. I got in my locker and hid my best. He missed me and shot all of the rest. I got out of my locker quiet and calm, And as I stepped out someone touched my palm. It was my best friend, shot in the head. She fell over. She was dead. I fell to my knees and began to cry. As I looked up, I knew I would die. He had the gun pointed at me. I had nowhere to run, no way to get free. Needless to say I was shot. My blood flowed cold from hot. Why did God let this happen? He gave us free will. The will to love, give life, and sadly to kill. I died, but still I live the same. By God I was called by name. Why did he do it? Why did he kill? It was his human weakness, and his free will. It did happen and the hurt will burn, But from this situation we can learn. Learn to listen, learn to pray. When to step up, and when to step away.\'98, Written February 13th, 2002 © on Feb 13 2002 04:28 AM PST, Danielle Scarborough 10 • 0 • 1
