Anarchy 2001
By Danw
Got your high school kids, With their high school tongues Kindergarten killed by his high school gun But he didn’t know the truths The storm took him when it came Kid with a gun he killed someone but whose really to blame? Left home at fifteen and tried to make his name But by four O’clock he’d never be the same Took his fingers from his pockets And his bullet from his gun Killing in the name of all that is innocent Never meant to be more than an incident Now the jailers, judge they have they key To his life’s remains, his memory Left home at seventeen he tried to love he prayed Maybe that he’d come home someday He’d come home, but it’s too late Left prison at sixty from beginning to end More of man than me and now he see’s The world around him changes, Filled with unfamiliar unrecognised faces But he can’t do nothing, that’s the way has to be Jailed at seventeen, imprisoned from the start Juvenile delinquency, you know he’s not the one This isn’t justice It’s Anarchy 2001 They say that prison changed him, But the streets are who they blame And from the minute they let him out He waits for death but he takes his time To take another life No child, full grown So sad another life The life he took, his own!
