Take a break, take some time to think Of all the places and the things you’ve seen Mama never said There’d be skies of grey Mama never told, that you die someday You feel the hunger, So you Stop and wonder, What your hungry for Mama never told you, why daddy had to leave Mama never taught you About the tricks that were up his sleeve Slowly sip your wine, Vodka at eight, and your feelin’ fine Or at least you think so Mama never told you so, The places your not supposed to go Mama, yeah she said so Theirs a place you shouldn’t go You can’t get up from your chair The wheels are keeping you their Look in the mirror and it cracks Reflecting memories of things you can’t take back You never knew before Mama said, yeah she said Never stop, no she never said Don’t go, just don’t go Sleep and the darkness is enclosing Sanctuary for last time, a lifeless spectre Takes you down into his parlour Takes you down to meet you father Mama never said, your daddy was dead But he’s alive, you been tricked Trapped alone, your rendered useless But she never said to fear thoughts!
