(Now Alone - Fear J.O.S CLGE)
By Danw
I sit here waiting for the inevitable What lies in store for me I imagine what will happen and I can see That the course of event seem unavoidable On a night of celebration disaster strikes me With a firm grasp on my neck I am thrown to the ground But who is this? A tall brave stranger A friend to rival the beast before me He puts his pride aside and stands tall in support But that was before Now I feel the day of redemption is at hand Perhaps I too can escape lives doomed circle and enter the safety of confinement Everywhere I look the beast awaits me, no matter where I hide Time is against me, waving it’s ever present arm to stop my progression The meaning of life?, perhaps to receive what you deserve ‘Do unto others as they do to you’, a certainty for pain Hate consumes the beasts body as it prepares to destroy me The wise man awaits his fate with a plan in his all powerful mind Perhaps the beast has a heart, or perhaps I can appeal to it’s needs And provide him with natures liquid cancer Time will tell, albeit sooner or later As the once safe man became no more than a hunted animal With only his mind to save him Written December 22nd, 2000 © on Mar 18 2002 06:49 AM PST 10 • 0
