In My Dreams
By Dave Adam
In My Dreams I'd Return to you each sleep after every daily nightmare those moments in my dreamworld were all that kept me goin'. Sleepin' with a memory, wakin' in that hell, of holding you beside me then the morning always killed. I'd try all day to hold on, I knew this had to be, our love was all but over, until I went to sleep, so I'll, just stay, Asleep. What happened doesn't matter, it probably was my fault, but pieces of our good times, were stuck there in my thoughts. I hope they'll let me keep them, they meant so much to me, We'll always be together, since I have gone to sleep, and I'll, remain asleep My daytime life was surreal I knew it wasn't true, I'd lost my only reason, I'd lost a life with you, I thought, "What sense is tryin', This never will be right", my life was filled with heartache, "But I'll be home with you tonight", 'cause I'll, just go to sleep. Now I return to you each sleep, after every daily nightmare...Original artwork entitled: "Night Fish" by Dave Adam copyright 2003 Dave Adam Digital duplication prohibited by law.
