I'm sitting here on the balcony,On this dark and dreary night.The light beaming from the lighthouseIs the only light in sight.My sailor sweetheart is out there.Where, I do not know.He's only been gone a week,But it seems like so long ago.On our last night togetherHe was sitting here with me.It was a warm moonlit nightWith millions of stars to see.We spent most of that dayNestled in each others arms.I felt so much joy and raptureWhile he showed my all his charms.The days will go by so slowly,Until he's in my arms once more.There's nothing I can do, but waitTil he comes walking thru that door.
