Dragon
By denlexx
Into the Dragon's lair he strode, To give the beast a fight, Broad sword in his left hand, Shield held in his right, Into the cave,he walked so brave, Not a fear in his eye, I'll kill the beast, with one swift blow, and send him to the sky, Inside the Dragon waited, His claws all sharp and bright, He waited in the darkness, to kill the knight on sight, They met there in the darkness, By the light of the Dragon's Breath, Each trying to kill the other, fighting to the death, The knight he got a lucky blow, cutting off the Dragon,s head, It came crashing down upon him, Killing him stone dead, The moral of this poem, Is as plain as day to see, Don't go killing Dragon's, Just let the poor things be. by denlexx Written October 20th, 2001 © on Oct 20 2001 04:49 AM PST, Dennis T Baker 0 • 10
