Behind Closed Eyes
By dianes
Behind closed eyes my eyes view, A dream of being with him, Spending time with him, Doing the simplest things, But, they mean so much. A walk on a cool, windy, fall day, Kicking up the leaves as we walk, All the splendor of nature’s colors surround us, Then he gently slips his hand in mine, Reminding me I’m special. Washing dishes together, Playfully taking the soap suds, Dotting each other with them, Giggling and dancing round, Till our kisses taste like soap. Lying on the sofa, Falling asleep, He comes ever so quietly, Draws the afghan over me, But it’s the love he does it with that warms me. In the shower, Washing each other, Touching each other, Exploring like it was the first time, Every time. These are the dreams, Behind those closed eyes, Simple little dreams, Intimate ones, Someday they will come true. Written February 10th, 2002 © on Feb 10 2002 12:39 PM PST 18 • 0 • 12
