Fairy Tale of Blue (Epilogue)
By dianes
Once the winter had passed through, Blue had his house furnished, He couldn't wait to go outside to stretch his wings, To explore the other side of this forest he never got to. Sunshine warmed his filagree wings, Once again he heard nature sing, He had accepted his fate of being alone, Blue was the fairy king, had made his own little throne. He fluttered and flew all through the day, The forest was deeper then he ever knew, Bushes and brambles he scurried through, So dense was the foliage along his way. Something seemed to pull him along, Blue never rested, His senses seemed like they were being tested, All of the sudden he heard a song. A melody so sweet it made his heart beat strong, It pulled him through the darkness of the forest, Out into a glen, Where he saw the tiniest, lonley, lady fairy staring back at him. It was her song that lonely call, That called Blue to find her, A fairy love song to end the lonliness, A love to be sealed with a fairy kings kiss. From her ruby red lips from where her song had imparted, A melody of love in his heart had started, By the end of spring she became his wife, His tree stump house was now a home. The once lonley little fairy, Who wallowed in self pity you see, Had met a lonley fairy man, Now Fairy King and Queen, of their own land.
