Fairy Tale of Blue Part 4
By dianes
Blue the fairy was now a man, He had flown for years, Searching and learning, Still he had not found another like himself. Now, loneliness was a way of life, His flight of fancy, Was now his travel of strife, He now knew why fairy men took a wife. His flight of North, Had turned to West, Over rivers and mountains, It was time to rest. Blue decided if he was to live alone, It was time to find a home, No more flights of fantasy, He had seen all that he could see. Looking for a place to reside, Blue thought of all the things he would need, Thinking the thoughts of a fairy man, Knowing that he would live off the land. One day Blue spied a forest hidden deep, He flew into its green lushness to seek, Was this the place for him to reside, A place for an old fairy to eventually die. As he was flittering to and fro, On his daily trips of foraging, Blue discovered the perfect place, A hollowed out tree stump by the lake. He busied himself everyday, Making his house a nice place to stay, But Blue's dream of it being a home, Would never come true while he was still alone...
