First Mile or Second Mile Choose Which are You...

I always remember a parable I heard when I was small I have never forgotten it and it applies to all... The story was about friendship how friends will walk with you Oh they will walk the first mile when it's sunny and so blue... But when the storms come and darkness is all around They pull their coats around themselves and they are nowhere to be found.... It's so easy to be a first mile friend there for all the easy things Walking on the beach is easy when laughter and good times ring... But when that second mile comes with storms and shadows deep It's only our true friends Who hold you when you weep..."the only reason I put personal is cuz this parable has always stuck w/me...I always try to think of myself as the second mile friend holding onto my friend through the storms and high tides and rejoicing with them when the sun shines through...."
