Forgive me my Children
By dianes
I’m sorry, Not only for you, But for me, Most of all for what our children had to see. Instead of being raised to see, How loving a couple could be, They were raised… In misery. Instead of seeing, Love and laughter, Smiles and hugs, They saw anger. I worry for them, How will all this affect them? Can’t forgive myself for letting them attend, Our fights every day and night…that never seem to end. Your forgiveness, doesn’t matter to me, It’s our children’s; it’s their lives we ruined, How will they ever find the peace… We never could?
