Friendship
By dianes
I met him on that cold dark night, When we talked our words took flight. We talked for hours he and I, Spoke of hope and dreams denied. Found our common ground, Explored others too, And out of this a friendship grew. We encouraged each other’s hopes and dreams, Cared for each other when things came up unforseen. Our words were honest, Our intentions true, We got to know each other through and through. We knew this friendship would always be, Because it was based on honesty. What heights will it go to, We don’t know. Each day brings us closer as we grow. We bring a smile, a laugh, a tear, Bring hope to each other when there is fear. After all this is what friendship is about, Whether male or female there is no doubt, If the heart feels a kinship, If it knows someone can care, Life seems to become easier, Knowing they are there.
