Memories of Loss (collaberation w/Webdreamer)
By dianes
Alone in the night, All is quiet, Peaceful, But yet, his heart is not quiet. It beats loudly, Calling to him, Reminding him. Telling tails of loves lost and gone, Singing of pains that still remain, Deep in the core of his life, Crying for relief not found. Each beat reliving a memory, A kiss, A hug, A laugh, A tear, A romantic night, When he held her near. The smell of her perfume, The taste of her lips, The feel of her hair, The want of her love, Is more than his heart could ever dream of. He closes his eyes, Wonders why, He had so much to love to give, Why did it have to die. But it seems to be, The way of his life, More pain than joy, Never to know a love, A toy of her wants, Never what he desires, Just a life shared with love and some joy. So though the pain great, His heart still beat, His emotions all torn, Each day a great feat. He walks as proud as he can, Looking for that right person, Wondering if he will ever find, Or be the one just left behind. Alone in a world that can be so cold, Wondering if he will ever be so bold, To open his heart to love again, To trust someone, Will his heart ever mend. As mending is a risk, That always is filled, With the evils of pain, In a world gone mad. Written January 25th, 2002 © on Jan 24 2002 05:06 PM PST 0 • 8
