Truck Drivin Man (Part 3)
By dianes
It's a long haul, He calls home to say, Hope she doesn't mind, Overnight stay. He checks into the hotel, Locks up his rig, Calls up his girlfriend, Excitement she brings. She drives over, Anticipating, Knowing she's his lady, and she's been waiting. She knows he's married, But she takes, Whatever time he has, On these trips he makes. They fill their needs, And fall asleep, In each other's arms, Lies and deceits. The dawn is breakin, She feels his body move, Already she feels the lonliness, No lust and passion in the room. He stands and buttons up his shirt, His hair still toussled and wet, Says he'll see her next trip, Hugs her and pats her head. She lies between the cold sheets, Pats the pillow where he laid, She can feel the hot tears coming, The lonliness, being afraid. For she has fallen in love with him, Wrong though it may be, She will take what she can, understands, He's a truck drivin man. Written January 25th, 2002 © on Jan 25 2002 02:56 AM PST 0 • 8
