Blackmailing Freedom

By Dissecting Existence

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

You are born or Adopted into and By me, swearing To me your allegiance. I am your lover, and Your fighter, I am The one who gives You what you can’t buy. I am the one you Die for, and the one You mourn for, within Me you find your happiness. Pay no attention to the Means that I use, as I Choke you with a smile, Taking your paycheck. And as the knife pricks Your skin, understand That you must obey me To keep your precious life. You have your freedom, but I must say what that Is. You are a slave to Freedom, and I, it’s master. Now give me your children, I’ll Teach them to love and grow In me. Teach them not to Question their supposed freedom. Yes, I am the hate of your Life, but tell the World You love me, as I blackmail You with your own freedom. As I hold this barrel to your headAh, about govts. If you don't think they got a 'gun' to your head, just choose not to pay your taxes, and your precious life will be taken from you, not really in the literal sense, but what you deem as your life, yes it'll be taken/change. There is no freedom, but within the mind. Written April 10th, 2002 © on Apr 10 2002 05:42 AM PST   0 • 9
