A Time to Live, A Time to DIe
By DocMccurdy
The gaping hollow cold and deep, Yet, seeming so calm and peaceful, My mind a wandering, and I keep My thoughts so refreshed and revived. Inviting and mesmerizing, The notion of this timeless sleep. Just to become a part of eternity. I could lie down for hours, Contemplate and wonder, None to disturb; no bars. To remember, and re-collect Memories, and to alter them, And to ride the wind to the stars On this eternal, everlasting journey. I awaken crudely; my time is not, As they lower the body to the grave, His journey has ended; his spot For the rest of time. Yet, I have to go on, I just cannot; A day to live, and a time to die.
