First Breath of Fall
Summer time comes to an end, Kids go back to school again. Moving away for the first time, I'm trying not to go out of my mind. I feel the fall air blowing its first breath. Bringing the timely death, Of the shouts and giggles, summer fun. One last time, then it's done. Say goodbye to friends unknown. Thinking of ways in which I've grown. It's hard letting go. It's hard hearing no. Love lost, found, and lost again. Looking for the new to begin. Letting go of that which I trust, Some things should be done, and this must. Go on and move forward, go get your reward. Future holds bountiful beauty, All this just for me Kristina Hoeller Written September 4th, 2001 © on Sep 04 2001 02:15 PM PST 0 • 10
