Smile and Tip Our Hats

By dolphinia

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

How can I mend your broken heart, when mine is ravaged and split apart? We divided paths which left signs of sorrowed years across both our aging faces and weakening tears. Our souls are once again at a junction, and we must ask: 'Can we really function?' Darling, the answer in the horizon reads pain. There doesn't appear to be a fruitfull gain. So, after many hours of reflective thought, here is the answer that gives no suggestive plot: Smile, tip our hats, and until we meet again.Just letting my feelings out.
