The Princess And The Old' King.

By Don Eagle

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The Princess and the Old King.I remember when the taste of love was sweet upon my tongue, and every day I spent with you, was like a song, just waiting to be sung. But time moved on and so did you, and left me all alone, I lost my Princess, And you; your old King, Things will never be the same again, and love will never have the same old ring. But now the Castle’s empty and the throne is bare,  The time hangs heavy, with no one there to care.Yes I remember when the taste of love was sweet upon my tongueWe built a life of love, and felt that we were blessed, by he who lives above.  I thought our love was special and would make it threw the years. But I was wrong and now I know, how love can end in tears.I know I can not hide, the love I have inside, while my love grew, your love died. And so today I walk alone with only thoughts of you, not knowing where to go or even what to do.So where ever you go, or what ever you do, I want you to know, I’ll always Be in Love You.The Castle’s bare as I stand there, with nothing else to do, but close the Castle door, and live with the memories of you.                                                  Dedicated to the memory of love.                                                                  Don Eagle.
