easy joy
By dribble
I loved the poetry of your face the angles and planes that made up my dreams far longer than I would admit to and I loved you arms circling my timid body owning my love and my hate claiming each of my imperfections just for you so I loved your call dialing each number one by one just to talk to me blew me completely away with every casual hello issued from my smiling mouth and now I love my freedom the air tousling my crazy hair instead of your hand the wind caressing my face instead of your mouth to silence my stilted speech and I love my memory of wind and of passion with the same jagged skyline to be my lover and my muse to know that I was "the one" yet still left the party alone for the chilled air of my early morning drive with my music singing and my heart dancing in the truth I have only found in my own easy joy Written November 7th, 2001 © on Nov 07 2001 05:38 AM PST 18 • 0 • 10
