Heart Like A Turbo Booster
By driver
Something more than a diesel engine drives me something... I've been out here most of my adult life Countless state lines stories to fill a book The drone of eighteen wheels and the sweet whistle of the turbo It's hard to stop It's something Tattered photos of my kids taped to the dashboard a smile for everyday It's really something Last night I crossed the Pocono mountains the weight of the load tried to hold me back I grabbed another gear trucked it up now that's something I wonder if my soul will ever rest or if my blood like diesel fuel will continue to pump my clutchless heart Can you hear the sweet whistle? I'll honk when I pass by. Written March 29th, 2002 © on Mar 29 2002 08:45 AM PST 0 • 10
