How an NFL Star Went Down

By Duke

Your a Professional football player for the Steelers, One hell of a player, Always giving one hundred and ten percent, High hopes for you this up coming season, You bust your ass in traing camp, Then those damn two a days, But after that is complete, You feel like your even better now, Preseason starts and you play pretty good, First regular saeson game is upon you, Sweating from your nervse and excitment, You start the game, First series didnt go so good, You were sacked twice and threw an interception, Well as you try harder the worse you get, Its like you fell in quick sand and you cant get out, Sometimes your fault and sometimes it wasnt, One bad play to another and another, Why isnt anything work for you me you ask, Eventually you get pulled for a while, The next game same thing do worse and worse, At the end of the season your the laughing stock of the NFL, You start to drink heavy all the time, So you can take the pressure you and your teamates and the fans are forcing, What do i do you ask with just a little hope, Cant do nothing wright, Somehow your team squeeks into the playoffs, This is the worst season anyone has ever seen, You just edge some teams in the playoffs, Because your defense pitched shoutouts, You make it to the big game the Superbowl, You blow so bad, First you fumble, Then you throw three interceptions in the first half, The team is down twenty four to nothing, Every point your down is cause of you, Everyone goes into the locker room and talks over what can they do, Your sitting in the corner all by yourself, Heart going a hundred miles an hour, Sweating so bad feeling your going to break down, You try to fight it but it grows and it grows, You are lost in your own thoughts, Not knowing what to do, Help me you cry out, Everyone goes back onto the field, You stay inside the lockeroom, Your awake but not conscious, You burst out of the lockeroom and hit a secruirty gaurd over the head, He collapses to the ground, You take his run back into the locker room, Your still sitting there confused and not that sane, You here the final score, The final score twenty four to twenty three, You shout out im sorry guys, The teamates are coming back inside now, Everyones in now, Sorry put the gun up to your head then pulled the trigure, I guess some people will do about anything for the game, Written March 16th, 2002 © on Mar 16 2002 03:42 AM PST   0 • 1
