Places of Wonder

By DUKEblueT

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Let us go to the places of wonder The places that bring us to our feet That seems to make us do the impossible But impossible, no, a journey. Let us go to the place where water runs through the streets Where a ride with a pole, lantern, and a stranger Doesn't seem strange at all. Let us go to the jungle Where wildlife runs And there are no cages to hold back their freedom The comfort of security will not be at hand. Let us go to the great water Where the boats sail with the river north And the greatest of the rulers ruled. Let us go to seemingly unending stone Where battles were fought and a country protected But when does the stone end? When does it all end? Let us go to the places of wonder.Anything that could be changed, that you think would help. Written April 15th, 2002 © on Apr 15 2002 10:44 AM PST   0 • 12
