Praise To My Angel

Praise To My Angel I once drifted in a sea of loneliness. My raft deflated leaving me to drown in the emptiness. I tried to tread, for what seemed an eternity. Ready to give up, I found the saving line of serenity. Pulling myself ashore, I wanted to thank my saving grace. The sun’s beams cast a glow upon an angel’s face. While I rested, we talked there on the warm beach. All the while, I didn’t realize the future that was within reach. A once empty and lonely past filled with pain and void, is developing into a bright future that will be enjoyed. As the sun fades away, I recall how I had almost given up the fight, but now I realize that everything will be all right. The sun’s blanket has gone, but my angel holds me tight to keep me warm. Tired and weary, I lie in her arms, and she protects me from life’s harm. Life’s tragedies have left me scared, sore, and partially lame, but even with my faults, my angel wants to be with me just the same. She not only saved my life, but she also captured my once meaningless heart. Now only God and the Grim Reaper could ever tear us apart. She will always be permanently embedded in my heart and soul.
