I Alone

unable to sleep at night - I toss and turn trying to shake these monsters from my mind unable to face the day - I shuffle onward dragging my feet through this meaningless life I wear a mask to hide the pain but beneath it lies the ugly truth no mask can hide these scars no doctor can cure these wounds I alone must struggle onward I alone must face the day and endure the night I alone will survive Written November 6th, 2001 © on Nov 06 2001 12:47 PM PST   18 • 0 • 1
