Dream Away Awaken from sleep into a dream I'm unsure of how things should seem Tentatively walking away Back to a place I once was before A place on the horizon I know I adore Holding my sorrows at bay Voices that lie in the back of my mind Tell me that I left something behind But I push them back down I stand countless feet in the air Looking over a ledge into despair An ocean where I happily drown Something though, calls me back To the place my heart emptily does lack Colors flow in my head Fog rises from the knee high grass Blocking my vision, blinded alas But I remember what you said Whispering to myself to keep me alive So close to the happiness for which I strive But I'm always led astray Floating to the sky, ever higher Letting the fabric of life catch on fire Dreaming my problems away Written November 24th, 2001 © on Nov 24 2001 06:39 AM PST 18 • 0 • 13
