Rememberance
By Ender
Remembrance Looking around, I take it all in And ask myself why I came back to this place It’s nothing like what it once was Of my happiness, there’s no trace My surroundings, they are dark A breeze ruffles my hair Nights like this bring back memories Of the times we once shared I’d like to think I’m past this You’re but a closed chapter in a book But constantly I find myself reminded I see you everywhere I look And I feel so helpless Because I know there’s nothing I can do But sit here, remember, and try to forget The nights I spent with you I’m tired of always feeling this way Can’t stop, even though I try I know it’s time to move on Time to stop wishing to die For I knew when I fell in love with you That still I’d have to meet the consequence Now that time is here and I feel it As I am faced with my own decadence I turn to leave; I feel it’s time to go And there’s no reason for me here to remain Looking back I catch one last glimpse With my departure, dies the pain Written November 24th, 2001 © on Nov 24 2001 06:49 AM PST 18 • 0 • 12
