Stealing burning within me something that just won't die turning my heart to ashes that are scattered on the wind and as the rop tightens as clouds cover the sky i watch as my life crashes and i'm pushed into the end waking up in a sweat soaking my hair to my head i realize it was just a dream and relinquish in relief lying awake again basking in lost tears shed recalling a memory serene but it crumbles like a leaf in my hand, again you're always taking away what i cherish so dear you're always throwing me back when i just want out of here you're never giving me the life i'd like to live and you're always throwing away what i'm so forced to give swimming in a sea clear as crystal falls i know it's just a fantasy but i savor it while i can floating forever into nothing breaking unbreakable walls i know this can't possibly be forgot where it all began slowly i'm brought back to reality once more but this time in regret but it's lost all over again billowing within me frustration felt not before darkness begins to beset and i lose myself again it doesn't matter anymore you're always taking away what i cherish so dear you're always throwing me back when i just want out of here you're never giving me the life i'd like to live and you're always throwing away what i'm so forced to give when i see nowhere to go no purpose for living a lie hating the taste of deception longing inside to die wishing when i know all of it's now meaningless because you're always stealing the grains of hopefulness i'm so empty you're always taking away what i cherish so dear you're always throwing me back when i just want out of here you're never giving me the life i'd like to live and you're always throwing away what i'm so forced to give Written December 13th, 2001 © on Dec 13 2001 12:59 PM PST   20 • 0 • 1
