Velvet Wings
By Ender
Velvet Wings velvet wings frame a beauty meant to be free for all eternity soaring the skies with a passion rivaling a sunset's fire within me and as promised, came the day when those wings were thrown away gone from sight but burnt into my heart the sunset gave way to the grey days and nights brought such pain but it faded like summer rain and the sun seemed to shine once more birthing a hope for happiness in store the wings then returned, met with a gaze that couldn't help but remember those days of hoplessness and broken heart but even so were the walls torn apart and the wings were once more embraced a love now untainted and beautifully graced reaching heights not reached in the past but hope yet wavered that it would last though on and on untouched it went doubt and uncertainty long since spent which faded just like the pain had before an emotion which didn't exist anymore and then that heaven was abruptly replaced with an agony not yet to be faced for the sun that powered the flight had set, unknowingly bringing the night the beautiful wings majestic and fierce now meaningless, how deeply they pierced forcing a fall to a hell long forgotten wasting away, long decayed and rottenThis... is a metaphorical poem.
