Our life together
By English Rose
A mixture of pleasure and pain in a fusion of love and hate Violence and the smell of alcohol on his breath The verbal abuse on his tongue and his mind Feeling like a piece of merchandise in a shop window No Love Only Hate Feelings of resentment rose in my blood Pictures of happy families came to my mind as I watched his hand beat down The fear of approaching danger fills my thoughts day and night Screaming and shouting are his only form of communication Mother, Mother what is happening? Crumbling down are my dreams for happiness Father, Father why are you doing this? You came in the night to beat me into loving you Love, Love what does it mean anymore? Hatred is far safer Worthy or Unworthy, no time to tell You have made my life a living hell. Written January 14th, 2002 © on Jan 14 2002 01:58 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
