Inside the cemetery

By evergreens

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The wilderness is frightening, Landscape intriguing; Cemetery gates stand wide open In the bright evening sun. Cemetery floor embedded with black stones- Eerie silence hangs like a blanket Lawn and flower-bed seem well-kept, Flowers, full of life and fragrant! Crossing over several tombs Where lifeless bodies lay underneath- Tombstones standing dumb; I came to the grey stone. "Mom",A silent cry breaks out The inscription says your name, Wordless sadness fills my heart: I kneel down and pray,"Ma......"A visit to the cemetery brings back memories of the loved parents;  Walking down memory lane,we find peace.
