Dreams
By FallinTears
They float through your head on a wave of innocence. Begging to stay but only a minute. They invade your mind, cover your senses and render you alive but not able to stop it. You know that you can wake up anytime you want to. You may be scared but still you are intrigued. You don’t want it to end you don’t want to open your eyes…you get confused and you don’t know what to do. It seems so real. You can see it so well. You can feel all the sensations you see behind your closed lids. You toss you turn, knowing deep down in the folds of your body that it’s only minutes long. But is seems to take up so much of your mind. So much of your time. So much of you comfort. You can see the soft images fading…slowly but they drift on, away. No, it can’t go, come back to me. You don’t want it to leave. It no longer seems real. The visit is over. You have to come back to life, even though you don’t want to. It is a dream, floating out of your head. Not as innocent as it may seem. Why can't we all live in our dreams? Written November 7th, 2001 © on Nov 07 2001 07:07 AM PST 0 • 1
