I bet that you haven’t ever Heard the story of grass So sit here for a minute While I fill up my glass Its green you know did you? That’s what color it is Hold on just one second I’ve got to take a wiz Okay I’m back where was I? Hummm can you remember? Oh yes it is still green When the month is September Sometimes grass is brown That’s only when it gets rotten There was something else about it Oh no! I have forgotten I already told you right? Oh I did is that what you say? Maybe I should save this story For another day No I think I remember What were we talking about again? Oh that’s it yes We were talking about my friend Oh no you say that’s not it? Oh yes now I remember How the grass is still green Even in September You’ve got to cut it When it grows You’ve got to water it When it’s dry And when there are dandelions I get this itch in my eye It’s starting to get on my nerves So that’s it about grass So kids what have you learned?
