I am a child Born to an average family I am a child That has been through too much I am a child Of little years I am a child But I understand I am a child With a father who doesn’t care I am a child With a brother who shows no mercy I am a child Who’s mother tries so hard I am a child With all too much to bear I am a child But I am strong I am a child And life has dealt me my troubles I am a child And I have my whole life ahead of me I am a child But life forces me to be adult I am a child And I just want to be one I am a child And sometimes I don’t know anything I am a child But I want to be taken seriously I am a child And I am mature I am a child And sometimes I can’t handle everything I am a child And I’m all alone by myself I am a child Who strives for normalcy I am child Who wants someone to love me I am a child And I know what love is I am a child And I don’t love anyone I am a child But I don’t trust you I am a child And I know exactly what I’m doing I am a child Brought into this world I am a child That has gone through too much… too fast But I am a child That has handled it well A child that says Come life… bring it on I am a child Life you don’t scare me I am a child And I know your weakness I am a child And behind a mask I hide I am a child But I am stronger than youI just feel so helpless... nobody listens to me.
