I have seen the light Now I am strong I can do anything My life it moves along There out before me Painted in white Was the short little crosswalk Of my life Everything that I ever did Jumped around on those lines The bad and treacherous lie beside There they are left behind The good were placed at the beginning The wonderful things happening now in the middle The things I didn’t know were to come Standing on the other side… belittled With my foot I took the first step Putting myself out in the clear There for people to deceive me Hate in their words… I hear I take a step they stab me Another earns a new wound A love thrown in between it A stare with their eyes… I swooned Moving on more steps for me Blood in a trail behind The end of my road is near No death… did I find The all at once in a flash of light Spun around I saw to my surprise Was a Mac truck barreling towards me There I saw it… my demise Honk honk is all it says To myself I talk I was almost there Killed in the crosswalkJust when you thought it was safe...
