Lost
By FallinTears
The shadows begin to deepen, Reminding me of the oncoming night. I stumbled along the rocks and trees, A cut here a scratch there. Thorns and stains adorned my clothing. My stomach let out a bellow. When had I last eaten? My throat was dry and scratchy. I knew I must rest, But no, I must persevere. I couldn’t feel my legs. Very often I would fall. Many animals came across my path, An owl hooted in a far by tree. I began to feel dizzy. M vision clouded over. I stopped, and waited for the spell to pass. When it did, I kept walking. I guessed it was the third day of searching. But I couldn’t be sure, I began to think of the most likely. I was lost, I couldn’t find my way home. I was cold, tired, hungry, at to the end of my rope. I walked a little farther, And then I collapsed to the ground. I cried away all my energy, And the last thought I had, Was someone help me find my way home.
