Song of the Siren
By FallinTears
SirenThe crest of the wave,White shining and bright,Comes crashing to the shore,Through the dark lonely night.Silently the waves billow,Footprints mark the sand,The fish come to the light,Swelling around the hand. Her dress flows out behind her,Blowing in the wind, is her hair,Her mysterious eyes are watching,For all of those who care. She swims to a rock in water,Her body glistens with drops,The sea mist sprays around her,As on the rock she hops. Her fingers trace the water,The sea ripples, and moves away,As you hear her mournful song,Now you decide to stay. The melody drifts clear,To the cliffs and valleys around,The soft notes hit your ears,As you feet plant themselves in the ground. The dying notes echo through the air,As she slides into the sea,You’ve heard the song of the Siren,As you leave to let her be.Thanks you all! I want to get better! Written October 2nd, 2001 © on Oct 02 2001 07:07 AM PST 0 • 10
