WAR
By FallinTears
*Poem is written by a man fighting in the war* I am going to have to write fast I haven't held a pen in my hand for so long... It doesn't feel quite right The bombs are exploding so close to me I can feel the ash in my hair The shells are about to burst my eardrums My ears are ringing now, I have a migraine This terror has been going on for so long... I can't even remember what my wife looks like I can't imagine green forests with little animals Everything here is so bland...and dead I can't take a step without lifting my feet over bodies I leave blood-foot-prints in the sand I look around and see grown men crying Hear their screams of agony People are dying of insanity What is it about? Oh yes the JEWS, I remember how the Germans spat it out They made it seem like such a dirty word All you have to do is look at these children You wouldn't let go of your kid's hand in the mall... These children are wondering the street parentless... Cold hungry some of them don't even know their names How could anyone do this to other humans? That's the only thing that's keeps me going Avenge the Germans, the heartless animals! This is ludicrous, the air raids continue I must fight save these children I hear them call me in the night I must go to them... Beat the Nazi's They have won the battle... But we will win the WARHolocaust poem for school, do you like it? Written November 7th, 2001 © on Nov 07 2001 10:41 AM PST 0 • 1
