'Forever Jerk'

O Death, that spirit, who comes to haunt. But many times, only to taunt. She takes the lives, when time requires. Of every person, who expires. Except for me, when at my last breath. Reached forth and pinched, the nipple of Death. A tiny squeak, and a stare of awe. Taken aback, by what she saw. Her mouth hung open, and I warned her of flies. How much more could they widen, those eyes. I had to laugh, it was such a sight. What a way to halt, her hand's frosty bite. Not many can halt, their own eminent death or, Have the opportunity, to honk Death's hooter. Quite an accomplishment, I must say. And still I live, this very day. But she did not leave, without a trace. Oh no, she slapped, my grinning face. The dickens I felt, my, my, such pain. But still on my face, the grin remained. With a jerk she turned, and walked away quickly. To my amazement, I felt less sickly. In a fit of joy, I began to follow. Woos and strange noises, I did bellow. A quick look back, and a small shriek. As I came from behind, and gave her butt a tweak. Faster she ran, but still I was there. She gave little slaps, to my hands everywhere. Boy, that was something, yeah, what a day. But it did not go, without a price to pay. Immortal I live, my time's never up. But what an accomplishment, I felt Death up.I'm in a humorous mood, tonight (I read some humorous poems, just moments ago). This is just an amusing little concept I came up with some years ago. Instead of cheating death, or beating death, what if death just doesn't want anything to do with you, because you're just an annoying pain in the @$$?
