By: D. Clark "Prologue: As this cybernetic beast enjoys this apocalyptic feast as man is conquered by machine from mountain to shore, for man was seen so primitive before, he shall be primitive once more... (D. Clark)" S.A.M. took his stand with no mercy for he was not a man, Strategic Armed Menace bares his name with his duty to burn all land, A computer with no aid from that of a mortal soul for hell he shall bestow, With his duty at never to rest for his power greater then the rest of fire from below, With his ultimate power could change this earth into a sun this madness only has began, For this beast with no heart or soul shall bring mankind back to such primitive days again, S.A.M.'s great trust earned will bring to all lands a great fury of nuclear burning, As this computer adapts to each situation faster then the most brilliant mind turning, A cybernetic enforcer of a global peace that will bring humanity a radiant morning, During such an information age of this cybernetic rage this final over looked warning, As each computer began to replace man one by one until nothing left human we cried, With his last glory to tell this story of how I Survived Dooms Day as all others fried, With his sight into this world from access to any information of this human race, For the count down is taking place in silence many are seeking refuge in orbit in space, With no turning back or stopping this cybernetic beast as the nuclear missiles fly, As I run into my escape shuttle just before I go a titanic blinding light engulfs this once blue sky.I Survived Dooms Day... (Jun 1990 from a short story I wrote in English class based off inspiration from both a poem and a short story by Ray Bradbury called "There Will Come Soft Rains...") Also from a movie called "Miracle Mile" Written April 9th, 2002 © on Apr 08 2002 04:49 PM PST   0 • 12
