I could hear the rain, Hit the tin roof of my shead, I didn't feel to sleepy, And I couldn't go to bed, Grab my dark black rain coat, And put on so tight, And then I kissed my baby brother, A far well and good night, I step out to the weather, The lock out the way, I walked unto the stones, That I normally play, I walked into the forest, I walked near our tree, And then I saw the river, Which weas so clear to me, To night the waters brewed, Fasts under the wind, And So I walked across the brigde, It twirled and was to bind, I walked unto the land, On the other side of the brigde, I crept into the fields, To which i work each day, I walked past the buldings, Then what I saw amazed me, I felt a shadow past me, And I saw a small slow smile, And when I saw his handsome face, I wished to stay a while, I couldn't even hear, My own self think, But soon after I hurried, My self home, So that I could blink Written November 16th, 2001 © on Nov 16 2001 01:08 AM PST, Melinda Hatfield 18 • 0 • 8
