You rode in upon your mighty steed To rescue this damsel in her hour of need We galloped through fields of fragrant flowers Then we’d make love and talk for hours My hair was flowing as we trotted the shore Then we’d make love and make love some more I thought the sun rose and set in your eyes And heaven was found in your contented sighs I thought happily ever after was how fairytales went But my heart finally got messages that my head sent What I thought was your love, was nothing but lust When I looked at your armour, it was pockmarked with rust You not a knight, your steed a tired old nag I not a princess, just a lonely old hag Once upon a time, was how it began But now is the end of the story and that toad of a man….
