Strike Me Down

By glasshouse

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I want to tell you to stop: Not everything has to mean something, but you keep looking for something. Can't you just feel: You know you want me, You know you miss my touch, You can still smell my shampoo, Can't you? I know, because I live in your mirror. I touch your face because you're sad, But you don't even realize that I'm here. Does it matter how far away you are? Not if you stop, stop thinking, start believing. (this feels wrong, why am I telling you this?) The candles burns down to the end, And I ask you, is there a better time to start something new?
